Some brief instructions:

1.  To pan, click and drag on the map or use the arrows on the left side.
2.  To zoom in, hold down shift and drag a box or use the slide bar at the top.
3.  To retrieve approved project data, click on a red or blue polygon. The project information will appear on the upper right in the Results tab.
4.  To open or close Search,Results,Tools window you can click on the header of that window.
    a. The Map Tools window contains the following tabs: Search, Results, Reports, Layers, and Tools.
5.  Use the Search tab to center the map on various search criteria. You can search by project name, PBC ID value, or alternative name using the drop-down lists provided.
6.  The Results tab will show approved project information after clicking on the map or searching for a project in the Search tab.
7.  The Reports tab allows you to generate link and intersection volume reports.
  • To generate a link report, first specify the count data you wish to use (Base Year) and the year you wish to project background traffic volumes to (Analysis Year) using the drop-down lists. Then, click on "Select Link" and drag a box over the center of your road segment. Only one road segment should be selected at a time. Finally, click on "Link Volume" to generate the report in MS Excel format.
  • To generate an intersection report, first specify the Base Year and Analysis Year as for a link report. Then, click on "Select Intersection" and drag a box over your intersection. Only one intersection should be selected at a time. Finally, click on "Intersection Volumes" to generate the report in MS Excel format.
8.  The Layers tab allows you to toggle on/off the following layers:
  • Laneage: color-coded lines showing the number of lanes on each major road segment.
  • CRALLS: highlights those road segments for which lower level of service has been adopted
  • 2004 through 2009 aerial photos.
9.  The Tools tab has the following tools:
  • Google - takes you to the google maps web site at your current map location, where you can view the Google Streetview images
  • Maps.Live - takes you to the maps.live web site at your current map location, where you can view the MS birdseye view images
  • Clear Select - click here to clear your selected project and associated road segments
  • Measure - click and drag a line on the map to measure distance. The length is shown in the Results tab. Click on "Finished Measuring" and then "Remove Measuring Lines" to clear the red lines.
