South Florida GIS Expo October 11th - 12th, 2012

The South Florida GIS Expo is an annual conference sponsored by the Palm Beach Countywide GIS Forum. The South Florida GIS Expo serves as a way to foster collaboration, GIS coordination, networking, education and training for the rapidly expanding professional GIS Community in the South Florida Region. The 2012 South Florida GIS Expo represents our 19th year of organizing and facilitating this regional GIS conference. The South Florida GIS Expo Committee is about to Kick Off the planning for this year’s 2012 event! You can submit Your Abstract!

For the 19th Annual South Florida GIS Expo we are once again asking all GIS users to consider sharing their experiences through a presentation this year. Presentations are scheduled for Thursday October 11th and Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The 45 minute presentation may focus on any aspect of GIS; however we are especially encouraging those who may have a topic of interest to GIS beginners or upper-level management to submit a presentation. As we do every year, we are strongly encouraging all those who are considering presenting to get your abstract submission in early this year. The cutoff date is August 10th, 2012 abstracts submitted before this date will have a higher priority on getting into the program. Event Volunteers

Did you know that the South Florida GIS Expo is planned and run entirely by Volunteers? As this event continues to grow regionally, our committee volunteer support has expanded to include staff from two counties in this region, Palm Beach and Broward. We also get substantial committee volunteer support from several municipalities and other government and private agencies in the South Florida region.
